I’m Jason Saposnek, I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. It was a town much like Upper Allen, both in size and situation; we faced the challenge of balancing remaining open space with development. My childhood playground—acres of land surrounding grape vineyards—was eventually replaced by housing. A few years later, both my neighborhood and job were lost to further development. That experience gave me a deep appreciation for thoughtful planning, responsible growth, and the challenges our town faces today.
For the past 15 years, my wife and I have proudly called Upper Allen home. Our three children attended Mechanicsburg Schools, and I’ve been an active part of the community—whether as a Girl Scout dad, a field trip chaperone, a school event volunteer, or a dedicated youth sports coach for 13 years. Today, I remain involved as a softball umpire, ensuring that kids continue to have access to quality recreational opportunities.
I have the honor of serving on the Parks & Recreation Advisory Board for the past seven years, with my term expiring in 2027. I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished—opening the Dog Park at Daybreak Church, installing new and accessible playground equipment across the township, evolving Winding Hills Park, and creating the award-winning sensory garden at Winding Hills North Park. As a commissioner, I hope to help shape Generations Park into a premier recreation destination, ensuring that our parks remain a source of community pride for years to come.
As a longtime community member, I’ve seen firsthand what makes our township strong—and where we can do better. I’m running to bring thoughtful leadership, community-first decision-making, and a commitment to responsible growth to Upper Allen. It is important that we protect local values, maintain fiscal responsibility, and ensure tax dollars are spent wisely and efficiently. I look forward to earning your support.
